Data Retention and Deletion Policy

PhiShark stores personal data and other records processed within the scope of the Services only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, service and security needs, legal obligations and possible legal claims.

1. Storage periods

In case of an ongoing dispute, security incident, fraud investigation, legal obligation or competent authority request, the necessary records may be kept for a longer period of time until the relevant process is completed.

2. Deleting accounts

A valid account deletion request will cancel active sessions and access information; Personal data associated with the account is deleted, destroyed or anonymized to the extent that there is no other legal reason to keep it.

Removing the account of a user linked to an organization account does not automatically delete the records of that organization. Organizational data is managed in accordance with the relevant agreement and, if applicable, the Data Processing Addendum (“DPA”).

3. Deletion and anonymization

Personal data whose storage period has expired or whose legal reason requiring processing has disappeared, in accordance with the applicable legislation:

  • is deleted;
  • is destroyed so that it cannot be technically restored; or
  • It is made anonymous so that it cannot be associated with the relevant person.

Deleted data in backups is removed within the normal backup rotation and is not reused in active systems during this process.

In terms of Türkiye, deletion, destruction and anonymization operations are carried out in accordance with KVKK No. 6698 and relevant secondary legislation.

4. Data subject requests

You can request the deletion of your personal data or to be informed about the retention period.

Applications within the scope of KVKK in Turkey are made through the methods specified in the KVKK Clarification Text; Other privacy requests can be made via [email protected].
